About Sean
Awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in Microbial Biology, I currently study the human microbiome at the University of Chicago.
Previously I worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard studying the tumor microenvironment of hematologic cancers. I've helped to design and teach a wide range of undergraduate science courses in the life sciences.
I am experienced in working with students with many different levels of confidence in the materials and strongly believe that anyone is capable of thriving in their STEM courses with the right mentorship.

Currently a PhD student at the University of Chicago, I previously worked in cancer biology at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. I earned my bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Physics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
I strongly believe in case-study based lesson plans, allowing students to connect the content of their courses to real-life problems. For five years I have taught biology, biochemistry, and biomedical laboratory skills at the undergraduate level.
In addition to academic tutoring I hope to help students define and pursue a career path in STEM using my experience in biomedical research.
