About Isabelle
I’m Isabelle, a UQ Biotechnology student who specializes in helping Years 1–10 students make big, measurable improvements in math. I’m friendly, organized, and results-focused. I identify gaps quickly, teach clear methods, and grow confidence for my students. Across tutoring and student-support roles, I’ve helped students move from “I’m bad at math” to confident and excelling, often lifting 1–2 grade bands through targeted practice and simple, repeatable steps. Math changes very fast when it is explained well and feels doable. I love the change I see in a student's learning journey when they realize just how capable they actually are.

TEACHING TECHNIQUES
- Build foundational understanding, beginning exactly at the student's level
- Provide clear 'how-to' method sheets tailored to the student's learning style
- Confidence first: remove “I can’t do maths” and replace it with a plan
LESSON FORMAT
- 1-2 hr per week online tuition with interactive whiteboard + shared worksheets, all resources provided
- School homework or class questions, foundational skills, exam preparation and introduction to upcoming topics
- All lessons are aligned with the student's curriculum and current understanding
MY EXPERIENCE AND TUITION
- I have privately tutored students from Year 5-11, with major grade and confidence improvements achieved
- 5 years of experience across 4 types of tutoring (private, group, franchise, volunteering)
- Tutored up to 4 students at a time
