About Lucia
Hi! I’m Lucia, a bioveterinary science student at the Royal Veterinary College with a strong passion for science and helping others learn! I have been tutoring students both online and in person for almost 3 years, mainly for GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I really enjoy seeing students develop their understanding and also in developing their confidence. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I aim to make my lessons friendly, supportive and tailored to each individual student. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working at their own pace. For me, tutoring is especially rewarding when I can help a student go from feeling “I can't do this" to realising that they can do it!

My lessons combine clear explanations, worked examples, exam-style questions and active recall. Lessons are typically 1 hour long, although I am happy to be flexible depending on the student’s needs and preferences. I have supported pupils with a range of learning and communication needs, adapting my teaching approach to help them feel comfortable, engaged and confident in their abilities.
