About Betty
I remember the humid air of my first acoustic set at a small Melbourne venue. That night launched 13 years of gigging and 320 students taught. I earned my BMus Popular Music at Queensland Conservatorium. Now I teach guitar to kids aged 10 to 14.
We focus on tuning and maintenance to start every single session right. Then we move into chord transitions and improvisation and soloing. I help you write your own songs using basic blues progressions. We tackle grade exam prep whenever you feel ready for a challenge.

I show you how to blend theory with your own creative style. I offer 6 minutes of specific review at the end of every meeting. This helps you lock in the new shapes you learned today. We will build your skills until you are ready to play your own material.
