About Mariana

I know firsthand how challenging applications, essays, tests, and projects can be — I’ve been through them all! Over the years, I’ve developed a proven methodology to maximize success, and I’m excited to share these strategies with other students who want to reach their goals.

As a Fulbright Scholarship recipient and Boston College Magna Cum Laude graduate with a Master’s in International Development, I’ve gained valuable experience from years of high-level academics and real-world projects. My background includes working with the United Nations in Geneva, the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic, and Bridgewater Associates, as well as winning 1st place at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Whether you’re preparing for university applications, essays, competitive programs, looking for help making decisions and applying to jobs, or launching your own project... I’ll guide you with the tools, insights, and strategies that have helped me achieve success — and now, they can help you too.

About the lesson

I believe every student has incredible potential, and my goal is to help you maximize yours! My teaching style is personalized and flexible — I tailor each lesson to your individual goals, strengths, and learning style. Whether you need support with applications, essays, Spanish, or finding your next big project, I’ll work with you step by step to build both confidence and results.

With nearly 10 years of tutoring and mentoring experience — helping students from ages 6 to 21 — I understand how important it is to create a supportive, motivating environment. I’ll teach you the strategies I’ve used to succeed myself: from earning a Fulbright Scholarship and graduating Magna Cum Laude from Boston College, to completing a Master’s in International Development at IE University in Madrid with an exchange at Sciences Po in Paris.

A little about me: I’m Colombian-Venezuelan, grew up in New Canaan, and was captain of my high school field hockey team. Outside of tutoring, I love traveling, learning about different cultures, exploring sustainability projects, and of course, great food!
