About Mariana

Hi! I’m Mariana, a "carioca da gema" (born and raised in Rio de Janeiro), and I’ve been passionate about languages since I was a child. I graduated in English and Literatures from UERJ, with both a Bachelor’s and a Teaching degree, and I built unforgettable memories in the language school I worked in for 5 years, teaching children, teenagers, and adults.

I decided it was time to explore new horizons and set off on an exchange program in Ireland, an experience that completely changed my life. I decided to stay and I’ve been living in Dublin since 2018.

I love the rainy, cloudy weather (unlike most people!) and driving along the narrow countryside roads. But even though life has taken me in a different direction, my passion for teaching has never left.

Now, let’s turn your Portuguese from “I understand” into “I can actually speak it!"

About the lesson

My teaching style is fun, practical, and focused on real conversation. I help you build confidence from the start, using everyday topics, games, not forgetting about giving you cultural context, so you can speak like a true Brazilian.

Our lessons (usually 60 minutes) will be tailored to your goals, whether for travel, work, or day-to-day communication, and always kept light and entertaining.

I have a degree in English and Literatures and over 5 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, from beginners to professionals.

My classes are perfect for anyone who wants to stop overthinking and start speaking Portuguese with confidence.
