About Brendan
My name is Brendan Arbuckle, I am a student at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAYJO). I have completed my Diploma of Music in Jazz and will be completing my Bachelors Degree next year.
I have been a member of the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) for 9 Years as Lead trumpet and still continuing to play. I have gone on regional tours, doing workshops at primary and high schools and play at venues such as downstairs at his majesty’s theatre and the Ellington Jazz Club. I Have played with many international artists that I have learnt so much from which has given me excitement to pass on to future students.
During my time studying at WAAPA and playing in WAYJO I have grown an interest and passion to teach other people to play the trumpet and help more experienced people in high school.
I have teaching experience with local schools in the Joondalup area and I have my Working With Children’s Check.

Perfect! My son has been playing the trumpet for 5 years and needed someone to help him practice over weekends and school holidays. We were so lucky to have found Brendan! He is so patient, kind and encouraging. Best trumpet tutor my son has ever had! Brendan has a wealth of experience and expertise and has really helped my son progress his playing. What a lovely young man…highly recommend!!
