About Gerard
I am grandfatherly in age, experience and patience. I am retired but once worked as a psychologist in a hospital system. I was also in my later employment in charge of inducting interns into our procedures and as such gained a very wide appreciation of the capabilities and talents of a varied range of applicants, many of whom I offerd extracurricular English tutoring to assist all involved to generate better communicative understanding. I enjoyed seeing my "pupils" progress.

I appreciate pupils who have a willingness to learn the nuances of English and the beauty of our incredibly expressive language. Lessons should be at least 30 minutes but preferably 1 hour and be geared to the needs of the pupil. I am grandfatherly in age and experience and very patient and supportive of all genuine effort. I prefer to work with students with a basic ability to understand complex ideas, probably from mid teens upwards in age.
