About Rachel
I love teaching because I love to see the pieces come together in a students' head. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than breaking down a complex idea for a student that is struggling, and seeing the light bulb suddenly click in their head.
I try to bring an element of humour to some of my lessons, to ensure my student feels at ease in their lessons, as no one unhappy learns well!
In my repertoire, I have plenty of lessons, revision material, topic support sheets, and exam questions to help any student achieve success both in my lessons and in exams. Starting every lesson will be a few randomly selected questions to ensure retention of all topics, not just the one we are studying.

I have a first class degree with honours in Physics with Education, as well as a PGCE from UCL in Physics and Mathematics. These mean I am well versed in a variety of teaching methods to help you better your Physics knowledge.
Not only can I stretch the top learners, but I am versed in breaking complex subjects down (such as electromagnets at GCSE) for less able students to understand. I have helped students achieve 9s, as well as raising them from a 2 to a 5 within a year for their GCSE.
I have both teaching and tuition experience and will tutor online. In person is considered, I am based in Watford. Several open time slots per week at the minute, but these normally get snapped up fast.
I offer a 15 min call/zoom call for both my student and their parents (if desired) to get to know me, as I do not want to waste your time or money if I am not for you!
