I got ABB at A-level (psychology, media and English literature) and are now perusing a degree in British Sign Language and Educational Linguistics. I also ran a learning development programme in sixth form, which organised tutors for KS3 students with learning difficulties.

I don't believe that there is one set teaching methodology. Personally- I remember if someone told me to do some work, I would less inclined to do it. However some students need someone over their shoulder pushing them to study. Every student is different, but the one thing they all need is patience.
