Anyone who seeks for music teacher look for three qualities: 1. Can she sing? 2. What are her achievements? 3. Can she explain properly? You can google her name and you will get the answer for first two questions. I'll directly come to third question. She has been learning and singing for more than 2 decades. In my opinion she is the best singer in the eastern region of India. I never knew before meeting her that music can be learnt in very structured and systematic way actually she has IITian brain that makes her different from other music teacher. She will not teach you for mere degree but she will make you excel in all genres of music (classical, bollywood, ghazal and sufi). She has exercises for every element of singing whether it is singing breathless like Shankar Madhhvan or singing with feel like Sonu Nigam or singing in accurate pitch like Hariharan. All those elements can be achieved by proper exercises. She is the queen of improvisation. I bet you'll never hear anyone improvising any song like her. I learnt from 10 gurus but did not get what I was looking for. Fortunately, I met her and within 10 minutes of my first class I knew that my quest for true teacher had finally come to an end. I am enjoying the journey of learning music and it is making my incomplete life interesting and intriguing. I am certain that this is the best phase of my life. If you really want to learn music you have come to the right place you can fully surrender yourself to her competent hand. And if you are not that serious about music needn't worry you can also learn from her and in future you can flaunt in front of everyone that you have learnt from her because by seeing her immense talent I am pretty sure that she will be the future superstar of India.

Learning with swati mam is an amazing experience .I must say she has a very different and effective technique of teaching vocals. And ofcourse she has a very solid foundation in classical music and she is a phenomenal singer too. Overall ,swati mam is the best vocal guide or teacher one could ever ask her. And sessions with her are interesting and interactive. I give her 10 out of 10 as a teacher.
