About Lacey
I'm a young professional who recently returned from teaching English in Hokkaido, Japan for 2 years. While I moved to the country with both teaching and Japanese experience, the daily use helped motivate me to level up until I passed the JLPT N2.
I was a Teaching Assistant for intermediate Japanese in University, taught English for 2 years, and have spent 2 years teaching Japanese immersion through the Concordia Language Villages.
I have a passion for learning just as much as teaching, and want to help others find the success and proficiency they desire.

Learning Japanese can be hard, with or without structured lessons! I've been studying Japanese for 10+ years, in both classroom settings and self-study, so I know it can be an intimidating hurdle.
To combat this, I like to use a speaking and listening-heavy lesson plan that focuses on individual passions. If you're gaining skills to talk about what you like, learning comes more easily!
