About Gladys
Hi! I'm Gladys, a BYU–Idaho graduate with a bachelor's degree in Applied Health, and I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow.
Teaching is something I find rewarding because I've seen how the right support and encouragement can help students gain confidence in themselves. Whether we're working on piano, Math, Science, or English reading, my goal is to make each lesson clear, enjoyable, and tailored to your learning style. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating every bit of progress.
Outside of tutoring, I've spent 3 years mentoring adult students from different backgrounds, which has taught me that every learner is unique. Some students need extra patience, others need more practice or a different way of explaining a concept—and that's okay. I take the time to understand each student so they can learn at a pace that works for them.
If you're a parent, you can expect a tutor who is prepared, dependable, and committed to your child's success. If you're a student, you can expect a friendly teacher who will encourage you, challenge you, and celebrate your achievements along the way.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the student's goals, learning style, and pace. I create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
My teaching combines simple explanations, guided practice, and real-life examples. I break complex topics into manageable steps, check for understanding throughout the lesson, and provide positive feedback to help students improve.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by a clear explanation of a new concept. We then work through examples together, practice independently, and end with a summary and personalized exercises to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart is my patience, encouragement, and commitment to helping students truly understand—not just memorize—the material. As a BYU–Idaho Applied Health graduate and an experienced mentor, I enjoy helping learners build confidence while developing lasting study skills.
My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate learners, including elementary, middle school, high school, and adult students. I offer tutoring in basic to intermediate piano, Math, Science, and English reading, with lessons adapted to each student's individual needs and goals.
