About Khandker
Key teaching experiences:
2017 – present: EFL/ESL Teacher for a global on-line education group (iTutor Group), UK/Asia. I have been teaching school/college/university students and professionals. Total teaching sessions over 4000. Average rating 9.5+ out of 10. Teaching contents are related to
various professional sectors such as marketing, sales, branding, export-import etc. Also, teaching IELTS and TOEIC. Oxford and Cambridge teaching materials (OUP/CUP) are incorporated. I transform general teaching contents into CLIL based contents towards effective and creative teaching. In addition to online teaching, I do small classroom based freelance teaching as per the students' requirements. Also, for CELTA did classroom based teaching at the British Study Centre, UK.
2013-2017: Masters study and research works at universities (Monash University Australia and UNSW) related to media and communications. Occasional classroom based guest lecturing on branding/marketing communications related research topics. Freelance mentoring and assisting International Students with academic English and IELTS. Freelance CLIL based teaching of marketing communications to professionals in Australia and the UK.
2009 – 2012: Freelance EFL/ESL teaching in Australia and Bangladesh (small classroom based). Also went for industry focused education/training programs on marketing communications in South Africa. Developed and taught CLIL / content based learning material for professionals. Subject areas – marketing communications, branding, business communications, business presentations (including PPT), business research publications and business report writing. Assisting university researchers for research publications. Consulting for branding and advertising campaigns in various media for reputed companies and their brands.
2007-2008: English course content writer and test materials developer for Scott's English Success, Australia. Have intensively prepared language teaching contents for IELTS exams. Have prepared study materials for students all over the world. Conducted small-scale classes.

As a Cambridge CELTA certified teacher with Cambridge TKT, I follow the approach of Cambridge's Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) to teach Business Studies and Marketing Communications / Branding / Advertising. I have worked in the marketing communications sector as well. So, I blend industry experience and education together. My ethnicity is Asia and I have taught students from all over the world. My students are professionals and college/university students from various countries who are focused in different sectors such as sales, marketing, manufacturing, media, export-import, Intentional Business etc. In small groups they learn and use in real-life their knowledge. I also teach Academic English to higher education students. I also have taught school students various subjects related to Business Studies. I assist students for IELTS/TOEIC exams and for research publications. [My IELTS score - 9 out of 9 in Academic writing. Overall band: 8/9].
English is a second language for me and my accent is mostly Asian English. I have successfully proved myself as a Cambridge qualified teacher. As an Asian-origin Australian citizen with UK residency I can blend the Western and Eastern study approaches uniquely. I understand the hidden needs of the students due to my own teaching exposure worldwide.
