About Eleanor
Hello!
My name is Eleanor, I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a 1st in Modern and Medieval Languages (French, Italian, Greek, Old Norse) and I am now studying a PhD in Sociolinguistics and Human Geography at the University of Glasgow. I speak fluent Italian and French and work as a freelance translator between these languages and English (publications with Project Plume, Freedom Press, Dinamo Press). I've lived and worked in Italy and Morocco, and also enjoy teaching!
I currently work as a flute tutor, and also have experience tutoring foreign languages and ESOL - for exams and for general use and pleasure.
I have experience teaching languages in one on one and group lessons. My development of an immersive role-playing-game to teach Italian with the Glasgow based charity Lingo Flamingo is soon to be featured on an Open University course about the benefits for elderly learners learning languages.
