About Lisa
Hi! I'm Lisa, I'm 19 and I took my A Levels summer of 2024 and I'm now in my second year studying Medicine at Cambridge. I've been tutoring for a few years in lots of different subjects, but my favourites to teach are maths and sciences. I've also been a dance teacher for three years in my spare time and this has made me fall in love with teaching in all its forms.
I hope as a teacher I can make lessons engaging and enjoyable, without wasting your time. I will always feed back on your child's progress and where they might need some extra encouraging! If you have exams coming up or big tests, I'll try to ease those worries as much as possible whilst teaching you what you need to know. I have experience teaching 1:1 and in small and large groups, across various ages and starting abilities.

A typical lesson length is one hour, but can be upped to two if needed or more convenient. My favourite way to schedule these is to create a weekly or fortnightly slot for your child, and check in before the week starts so they do not miss the lesson if something comes up in their busy lives.
Lessons will usually start with some active recall of previously learnt knowledge, then we will dive into one or two topics, before following up with some exam-style questions to understand what marks are awarded for. I am also able to create or share revision resources to use in your independent study time.
