About Arianna

Hi! My name's Arianna, and I'm an 18 year old student at the University of Cambridge. I'm currently working on an English Literature degree, but after completing a GCSE and A-Level in Maths, it has remained one of my favourite subjects.

I know firsthand how difficult navigating exam years can be! Balancing the many subjects you take at and before GCSE is a lot to handle; but it's also a really useful time before A-Levels to practice your exam technique and experiment with different revision strategies - and that's what I can help with.

We'd be able to work together on any topics you've struggled with until you feel comfortable with them, breaking things down in more detail than you're maybe able to in class.
I'm also very happy to help with any issues or worries you have about exams and revision - having survived several exam seasons myself, I know some strategies that have really helped me over the years!

Through such strategies, I've personally been academically successful; and combining those with my previous experience working with kids, I feel confident in being able to help you make it through your exams with grades you'll be proud of; and even to end up enjoying Maths (it's really not that bad, I promise!).

About the lesson

My Lessons:

I would offer typically hour-long sessions designed to boost your child's confidence in Maths. I would want them to feel comfortable and happy around me and in my lessons; it's an opportunity for them to get one-to-one support and ask any questions that they might not be able to in their school classes.
Depending on the child's needs, we could work together on any homework or class topics that they're currently struggling with; or alternatively, we would work through the specification of their particular exam board to ensure they're thoroughly prepared and comfortable with every topic needed to be covered.
I also understand the importance of good revision techniques; and having been successful in both my GCSEs and A-Level exams, I would be very excited to share any tips and tricks I've learnt over the years in time management and memorising strategies.

My Qualifications:

I've achieved straight A*s at both GCSE and A-Level (including Maths at both stages and Triple Science at GCSE)
I'm currently studying a degree at Cambridge in English Literature (predicted a 1st).

I have longstanding nannying and babysitting experience, during which I have often helped the kids with homework - and I also have a younger sister who I am currently helping through her GCSEs - so I am very comfortable working with and teaching children.
I have also worked as a volunteer at a school for Autism, where I further learnt strategies for managing young children.
