About Katie

As a 21-year-old student, I have decided to start tutoring alongside my degree as I have a passion for academia which I hope I can instill in my tutees. I am a lively and light-hearted person and hope to be seen as a friend to all my students so they can always look forwards to lessons with me and hopefully learn to love what they are learning. I have given talks at my old sixth form about university admissions and hope that I can help people further with tutoring in this area, or for subject-specific tutoring. I have a full DBS check certifying that I can work with children.

About the lesson

My focus is on a friendly tutoring environment that aims to provide an effective method for making content truly memorable! Flexible session lengths and times are available. At university my focus is on chemistry, but with 4 A*s at A-level in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry and 11 A*s across a broad range of subjects for GCSE I am highly capable in tutoring across all the sciences. My experience as a tutor so far has been mainly on an informal basis with family friends so whilst I build up references as an online tutor my hourly rates will be low to begin with so grab a great deal!!
