About Mateo
I am a recent graduate from SUNY Geneseo with a major in Applied Physics and a minor in Math. I enjoy teaching students the reasons behind why the formulas work so that they can attack problems from a solid conceptual understanding of the topic. Oftentimes, the hardest part of a math/physics problem is knowing where to start. I can provide you with the skills to solve problems in different ways so that you can find what works best for you.

I use an empathetic approach towards tutoring as I help my students understand why things work and how best to approach different problems.
A typical lesson will include:

- Explanation of the topic from various perspectives to aide in your specific understanding

- Extra problems (with solutions) for you to work on if needed after the session is over
