I cater my classes to each student, depending on your skill level, experience, and what you desire to learn in a certain period of time. I am flexible with the kind of student I take on, with no limitations on age, gender etc. We start by setting a series of personal goals, and each class will be geared around reaching these goals.
Group classes:
Depending on what medium we are working with, I am experienced in working with groups of up to 20 individuals. I am flexible with group classes, and aim to work around your groups goals and expectations.
Hi! I'm Sydney, a multi-media visual artist based in Canberra.
I graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Art history and Curatorship. Since graduating, I have loved sharing my skills and knowledge with the community. Whether you are 5 years old with a love for anything colourful and gooey, or 50 with interests in making ceramics from scratch, I relish the opportunity to spread creativity.
- I speak English, Mandarin and French.
- I am an experienced ceramicist (throwing, handbuilding, sgraffito, glazing, firing)
- I am an experienced printmaker (Relief - woodblock, linocut. Intaglio - etching, aquatint)
- I can help with anything drawing based, from sketching humans to still life.
- I have a home studio with a plethora of art materials at your disposal, including a throwing wheel

I've always loved linocut prints, but as I am not a very creative person, I had no idea where to even begin. Sydney was a wonderful teacher and made the whole thing less daunting for me. She is very experienced and knowledgeable, and I learned a lot from her. She is also patient and kind, so I had lots of fun every class. She's a great teacher and I'd recommend her to anyone who wants to try printmaking.
