About Allison
About Me: Hi there! I’m Allison, and I’m passionate about helping students excel in writing and the social sciences. Since 2013, I’ve had the pleasure of working with learners of all ages. I spent four years as a K-8 classroom teacher, and, most recently, I’ve taught university foundation courses, helping students prepare for success in college. Beyond the classroom, I’ve mentored and tutored college and graduate students, assisting them in honing their writing, research, and critical thinking skills. I also take pride in helping high school students navigate the college admissions process, from crafting compelling application essays to preparing for interviews. My Teaching Philosophy: I believe that learning is a collaborative and dynamic process. My approach is tailored to each student’s unique needs, aiming to build confidence and foster a genuine passion for the subject. I’m excited about the possibility of working together and supporting you in achieving your academic goals!
