About Guido

Since the first time I played Catan, I was hooked. I spent days and nights exploring every aspect of the game: the best board placements, the smartest trades, the most effective strategies. My passion drove me to reach the #1 ELO ranking on Board Game Arena, and soon after, to start winning real-life tournaments across Italy.

In 2023, I became Vice Italian Champion, which opened the door to an unforgettable experience: competing at the Catan World Championship against the top players from over 60 countries. After four intense preliminary rounds and a hard-fought semifinal, I earned my place in the World Championship Final, finishing as Vice World Champion.

Today, I am excited to share everything I have learned. Whether you're discovering Catan for the first time or aiming to reach competitive excellence, my lessons are designed to inspire, challenge, and help you grow as a player.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Guido! I recently became the Vice World Champion at the 2025 Catan World Championship in Stuttgart.
In my lessons, I focus on developing a deep understanding of the game through:

Studying the best board positions and initial placements

Exploring the most effective strategies and how to adapt them during the game

Mastering negotiation skills with opponents

Improving prediction skills and decision-making under different scenarios

My lessons are open to everyone: whether you are a beginner looking to discover the game, or an experienced player wanting to refine your skills and explore new strategic options, I will tailor the sessions to your level and goals.
