About Tom

I'm Tom, a former part-time professor at St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology where I taught cloud networking for 2 years. I've spent the last 5 years working as a network engineer, and I hold CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Network+, and A+ certifications. I'm currently studying for CCNP Security, so I live and breathe this material every day.

I tutor because I genuinely enjoy the moment things click for someone. My sessions are practical and exam-focused: real-world scenarios, Packet Tracer labs, and practice questions. Not death by PowerPoint.

Whether you're grinding toward the CCNA (200-301), stuck on a college networking course, or prepping for A+/Network+/Security+, I'll meet you where you are and build a plan from there. First session is free so we can talk goals and make sure we're a good fit.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical and exam-focused, built around how the CCNA actually tests you. A typical session mixes concept walkthroughs, real-world scenarios from my 5 years as a network engineer, and hands-on Packet Tracer labs. Not death by PowerPoint.

We start with a free intro session to map out where you are and build a study plan around your exam date. From there, each lesson targets your weak spots with practice questions and labs until the material clicks.

I teach all levels, from beginners learning subnetting for the first time to working techs brushing up before exam day. Lessons are online over Teams, one hour each, evenings and weekends.
