About Rebecca

Hello! I'm Rebecca Ciogli. I graduated in cello from the Siena Conservatory with honors and am continuing my training in chamber music at the prestigious W. Stauffer academies in Cremona and Santa Cecilia in Rome.

I perform regularly at important Italian and international festivals (including the Accademia Chigiana, RaiRadio3, and the Lisinski Hall in Zagreb).
With my trio, I have won prestigious awards, including the Franco Abbiati Italian Critics' Award and third prize at the International Stasys Vainiunas Competition in Vilnius.

What I enjoy most is sharing. It's precisely my communicative nature that drives me to give my all on stage and to passionately share everything I've learned in twenty years of music.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered: I begin with your needs and goals to create a customized program, integrating my professional skills to support your musical growth. I firmly believe that playing should be a stimulating and positive experience at any age.

Based on your level, I focus on:

*Beginning students*
Quality of practice;
How to practice consistently;
Finding a healthy and efficient posture;
A positive and stimulating approach to music;

*Advanced students*
Understanding score;
How to choose repertoire and how to independently prepare new pieces;
Advanced bow and left-hand technique;
Preparation for auditions, concerts, and competitions;

Given the nature of my profession, I cannot always guarantee in-person lessons on a weekly basis (e.g., Tuesdays at 4 pm). For this reason, I find that the type of work I can offer is more specific, supporting those who already have some experience and are flexible, or those who, for work or personal reasons, prefer to schedule lessons, updating their schedules as needed based on their commitments.

I travel frequently between the provinces of Pistoia, Siena, and Perugia. If you're in one of these areas and looking for a flexible program, we can schedule a meeting periodically. I'll let you know when I'll be in your area to schedule a meeting, and together we'll find the most convenient solution for both of us.

I believe online lessons aren't comprehensive, but when needed, they allow me to easily schedule a meeting to help clarify any doubts or questions if we can't meet in person.

I offer lessons in both English and Italian, as they are both my primary languages.
