About Dom
Having played cello for 14 years, I have undertaken several solo performance opportunities as well as ensemble work in quartets, chamber strings, and orchestras including the Sydney Youth Orchestra (Flagship) and Ku-ring-gai Youth Orchestra. I have been teaching cello (and academic subjects) for the past 5 years to students of all ages, and am eager to share the fun of music and cello playing with my students. WWCC obtained.

HSC mark of 50/50 in Music Extension and 94/100 in Music 2

I have been teaching cello (and academic subjects) for the past 5 years to students of all ages, and am eager to share the fun of music and cello playing with my students. WWCC obtained.
For beginners, we'll usually start on 30-minute lessons, focusing on holding the cello, plucking strings, and reading sheet music. After this, we'll progress to holding the bow and playing with the bow.
As students progress, lessons can be 45 minutes or 1 hour. For these students, we'll focus on technical work first before looking at pieces, focusing on technique and expression.
While I mostly teach through the AMEB syllabus, I have had students learning through Suzuki, and also popular music. I'm happy to tailor the lessons to what you'd like to work on so just let me know what the focus is.
