About Laure
I have been playing the harp since I was 7. I studied classical harp at a conservatory until I was 19 before leaving town and my harp behind to study anthropology. Very stressed by the conservatory's environment, I did not wish to continue my classical education. It wasn't my path.
A few years later, deeply nomadic and missing my instrument, I acquired a small 27-string, and I took it with me on my adventures, hitchhiking, sailing on catamarans on the ocean, in the desert... This tiny version of my childhood instrument allowed me to discover new ways of being a musician, to explore my own musicality, to free myself in improvisation. It was ultimately with that little one that I learned to truly love the harp, a love that I have since also found with my classical harp. It is this joy of playing that I want to transmit to my students, well beyond a score to learn.
I started studying classical music again last year, and I also started giving harp and music theory lessons to a student of my teacher.
Delighted with this transmission experience, I want to expand and enrich it by finding new students with diverse backgrounds and objectives.

I work with students of all ages, from complete beginners to an intermediate/advanced level. I can also provide support in music theory.
We can work with or without music sheets, on the repertoire you choose.
The goal is to progress by learning to know your instrument well, working on the natural feeling of your fingers on the strings, and discovering your musicality. And above all, play with passion this dreamy instrument !
