My educational attainments: a Bachelor's degree in English language and literature and a Master's degree in applied linguistics.
My professional experience: I had taught juniors and seniors in secondary schools for more than a decade before I started my college teaching.

My teaching practice is mainly informed by second language acquisition (SLA) principles. I choose, for example, content and activities that relate to the real world; problem-solving tasks which address issues and interests I know my students could relate to emotionally and culturally.
To motivate my students to engage in classroom activities, I make sure they get involved in project works, in pairs or in teams, and that, eventually, they get the praise and encouragement they deserve.
