About Courtney
Hello, I'm Miss Courtney. First, I'd like you (the student) to know that I (the teacher) will do my best to connect with you on a level that will allow for comfort within each tutoring session. I was just recently a student, just like you. Sure, I may be older, but people of all ages are similar in the way that we are all learning all the time, even when we are no longer students! I want to create an environment where we can build an amazing tutor-student relationship that will allow for an amazing teaching experience. One where we can learn from each other!

As an experienced teacher of little kids with big minds, I know that students learn best when they are engaged in a fun and interesting activity (even better when it's geared towards their specific interests)! Each tutoring request will be started with a small questionnaire that will allow me to plan lessons according to each student because what works for one won't always work for another. It is important to me that I learn how each student prefers to learn: do they like to read, be read to, listen to audio, watch step-by-step, work alongside one another? Differentiation is the key to teaching diverse minds.
