Certified & Experienced Mandarin Teacher of all age in Melbourne | Native Chinese Speaker | Interpreter

Pearl is trust worthy because she is always on time with her lessons. She teaches with integrity for the purpose of transferring understanding and not just reading through text books.

She ensures my understanding of the mandarin language in a fun and learnable manner. Extremely happy with my outcomes so far !

I am writing to thank you for helping J who started mandarin late as our family are not native speakers. J used to attend Saturdays half day mandarin group class for one year and literally learned nothing. I am glad we found you and I could see the improvement within just few months via online learning. J is slow as he does not have the full interest but we see the importance of the language in our culture. Now J could at least understood some basics and slowly picking up words and started make sentences in the language. Thank you again for your patience in taking the effort to help J.

I have had Chinese classes with Pearl for 15 months. I am surprised at how much progress I have made in that time. Pearl is an excellent tutor. She makes the classes fun and relevant to my interests. I recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Mandarin!

Reliable, encouraging, and flexible. She’s always willing to change the lesson plan based on how I’m feeling that day. If I’ve got a lot to talk about, she’ll listen and prompt me to continue and ask clarifying questions all in chinese. If I’m struggling to come up with topics, she’ll provide appropriate material and help me through it. We have a lot of good conversations together, and I consider her a friend as much as a teacher.
