About Nolan
Licensed as a pilot at 17, I developed a passion for aviation early on. After graduating from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University -Daytona Beach with my Bachelor's and returning home to Houston to earn my Master’s in Education, I pursued my Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification—driven not only to build flight hours, but to provide students with the kind of high-quality, student-focused instruction I once sought myself. In my experience students need consistency in both their flight training and instructor. As a private CFI I can guarantee you will not be moved from one instructor to the next who doesn’t understand your learning style or where you have progressed in your flight training. My approach blends real-world flying experience with a strong educational foundation to help future aviators succeed.

I am an independent flight instructor and own a Cessna 172 based out of KDWH in the Houston, TX area. If you feel lost in your “big” flight school or are struggling with a Part 141 curriculum then I can offer you a personalized approach to your training where you are my priority. AGI / IGI - Ground lessons per the FARs and ACS that ensure students are well prepared for their written and practical exams. CFI / CFII - Flight lessons are conducted in a Cessna 172 that is equipped with a Garmin G430. My approach to flight lessons starts with a brief overview of your maneuvers to be completed that day to ensure you understand what we will be completing in the air. The flight deck is the worst classroom so, we prepare on the ground and practice in the air. At the end of the flight we have a debrief over what went well and what can be improved on the next lesson. The training is completed under Part 61 and will be 100% personalized to your needs. I also have the support of a retired DPE and working professionals in aviation that operate out of the hangar.
