About Jenn
Hello! I am a state-certified veteran educator with 25 years of classroom and virtual teaching/tutoring experience in Special Education and Mathematics. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to helping students feel more comfortable with and understand math concepts, testing strategies, manage school/extracurricular activities, and conquer academic anxiety. Although I tutor exclusively online, I begin by building a rapport and utilizing errorless teaching strategies to build a highly engaging, personal, and structured virtual learning environment that serves clients of all learning profiles.
My Core Specialties:
Targeted Math Mastery: Concept-driven instruction for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. I teach the structural logic behind the math so clients retain what they learn and can apply it in testing settings. In addition, I focus on providing strategies to assist with developing reference sheets and test prep.
Executive Functioning & Neurodiverse Support: Based on my extensive Special Education background, I coach clients in time management, organization, task initiation, and focus. These structured walkthroughs are specifically tailored for neurodiverse learners, including those with ADHD or learning differences.
Florida GK Math Test Prep: Targeted preparation for the math portion of the Florida General Knowledge test for teachers. I break down specific state competencies and model high-utility test-taking strategies so aspiring educators pass with absolute confidence.

What to Expect From Our Sessions:
I already know you don't like math. I love you for telling me, and I promise to make this as supportive and productive as possible. Every session begins by identifying what you/your child already does well, using existing knowledge as a springboard for new concepts. Through modeling and guided practice, I provide a calm, encouraging, and supportive environment designed to transform frustration into mastery.
My Strengths-Based Approach:
I do not believe in one-size-fits-all lesson plans. Instead, I explicitly structure every session around your/your child's current foundational knowledge, processing style, and personal strengths. My teaching method heavily incorporates live modeling and clear, step-by-step walkthroughs. By breaking complex ideas into transparent parts, I eliminate guesswork, build deep conceptual comprehension, and empower clients to independently replicate successful strategies.
