About Ruoyan
You can call me Berry! I am a creative and energetic Mandarin teacher who enjoys making learning engaging, interactive, and fun. I use lively and sometimes humorous approaches to help students stay interested and motivated throughout the lesson.
As someone who was an active and energetic child myself, I understand how challenging it can be to stay focused when learning a new language. Because of this, I adapt my teaching style to keep students engaged, confident, and motivated at all times.
I also incorporate hands-on activities, creative exercises, and modern teaching tools into my lessons, allowing students to learn new knowledge while reinforcing what they have learned. My goal is to make every lesson memorable, while building confidence and a genuine interest in learning Chinese.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and personalised to each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence in speaking from the very beginning, while gradually developing reading and writing skills in a clear and supportive way.
For children, lessons are interactive and fun, using games, visuals, storytelling, and creative activities to keep them motivated and interested. I aim to create a positive learning environment where children enjoy learning and feel confident using Mandarin.
For adult learners, I offer practical and goal-oriented lessons, focusing on real-life communication, pronunciation, and structured language development. I also provide support for exam preparation such as HSK.
Each lesson is carefully adapted to the student’s level and learning style, ensuring effective progress and an enjoyable learning experience.
