About Belinda
I love teaching the middle school age group because these are the most crucial years to either fall in love with math or hate it. Math can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. I am passionate about helping struggling students see the fun in math and finding their confidence. It is always my goal that students leave my sessions feeling fearless in Math.

Every student learns differently, therefore, all my approaches are geared to working and getting to know your learning style. I am passionate about teaching the students through visuals, exploration, numeracy and understanding the basic foundation of the "why" behind solving a math problem. A basic lesson will begin with building on prior knowledge, then some exploration, practice, and finally, an assessment.
Middle School Math is my speciality. I have taught 6th, 7th, 8th grade Math and Algebra 1 over the last 20 years.
