About Pek Hwa
I have had years of experience with many different learning styles. I am able to pick up on a student's learning style quite quickly. I also have children of my own that have struggled with math and understand both sides of the tutoring experience, both as a parent and as a tutor.

I have been a private math tutor for over 20 years. I work with students in all levels of math form Middle School-High School to include, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry and Pre Calculus. I enjoy the one on one interaction and find it extremely valuable in the learning experience. My sessions usually include reviewing the current concepts and then checking for understanding, either from student led questions or my own. I check for understanding by doing multiple problems, first together with the student and then have the student work on their own.
