About Skylar
As a certified teacher with a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Special Education, I bring both experience and heart to every session. My teaching approach is patient, personalized, and encouraging. I take time to understand how each student learns best and tailor every lesson to meet their unique needs. A typical lesson includes a short review, engaging instruction using visuals or hands-on methods, and time to practice new skills with support. We always end with a quick reflection and a win—so students leave feeling confident and capable. I specialize in working with elementary and middle school students, including those with learning differences, ADHD, or who simply need a little extra help. My goal is to make learning feel safe, doable, and even fun. I care deeply about my students’ growth and confidence, and I’m committed to clear communication with families. With me, students don’t just get tutoring—they get a cheerleader and a plan that works.
