About Sharyn
I am a qualified chef; started my career in 1987 and have worked in almost 100 kitchens over 30 years. I received Italian and Mediterranean cookery training through various restaurants in Australia, and catering and traditional cookery training in the UK during the 1990's. I have had my own business and am also a competent baker and sweet maker.

My teaching methodology is "go with what you've got." I can look through a student's home kitchen, and explain/show what and how to get the best out of what they've got. I not only teach cooking but also correct storage and hygiene practices. I like to talk with students to find out what their cooking goals are: food, time and budget wise. Do they want to learn the basics or fine dining techniques? How to create healthy family meals without wasting money? I am happy to teach all ages and most food styles, individual lessons or a group. My teaching style is relaxed, respectful and above all, I like to make it a satisfying experience.

Details
My rate is flat, including night hours. I will travel within the Rockhampton area. Outside of the Rockhampton area will incur an additional $10 travel cost. In addition to the time spent in lessons, students are given extra time where they can call to ask any follow-up questions about food and cooking at no extra cost.
