Perfect! I wish there was a higher rating to give. Christopher was everything I had hoped for in a tutor for my son and more.
My son is very bright (extreme intelligence, and very very stubborn) but extremely unmotivated. I am by nature a very studious and high achieving person and we were in constant conflict over grades, study habits, and general concern over completing high school in preparation for college and beyond. In his Jr year my son finally realized that his choices really would impact his future and we agreed to hire a tutor.
When we reached out, Christopher was great about gathering goals from us (parents) and from my son independently. My goals were to improve study habits, to pass classes, and to prepare for testing. Christopher worked with my son on a strategy to achieve blended goals and a plan to get there. Weekly they reviewed the plan, progress to plan, and revised as necessary. Christopher provided meaningful feedback and concrete action items to support my son’s success.
Christopher went out of his way to meet in our neighborhood, convenient to my son’s school to eliminate transportation as a barrier. He was committed, punctual, friendly, generous with his time and experience, and extremely patient.
Although my son did not bring his grades up I do see that Christopher made an impression. Without my intervention my son’s desk is now a clear workspace conducive to studying. He has been requesting to go to the library to study together because he finds he can focus there and says it helps to have a buddy. He is taking better notes at school and is keeping a ‘to do’ list. He is taking better care of himself and accountability for that care as seen with improved personal hygiene, eating before studying, and is more conscious of his choices about how to spend his time.
Some of this is just growing up, and some is the result of therapy, but I want to give credit where credit is due. Although certainly had to be frustrating, Christopher did not give up and was able to get through to an extremely stubborn kid and help him in ways I could not. I am so grateful for his kindness and effort.
Also, Christopher is an engineer with a bright future!! I wish him the best in his endeavors always.

Perfect! Chris started tutoring my 15 year old son for his Honors Chemistry class in February 2023. Our son had been struggling in his high school chemistry course and Chris was able to help my son understand the concepts from the first semester that he struggled on so that he was better able to understand new concepts from the second semester. He was able to break down complex information in a way that was tangible and understandable for our son. In addition to helping my son with Chemistry, he also gave him recommendations on organization and study skills. Chris helped my son pass his Chemistry class. Another great thing about Chris was his availability. He was able to accommodate our son and tutor him often on short notice and made time to teach him. He was also extremely punctual and always showed up on time and ready to begin. I highly recommend Chris to anyone who needs help understanding Chemistry.
