About Rahul
I've achieved 10 A-A* grades at GCSE, 3 A*s at A-levels and graduated with a BSc Chemistry degree from UCL.
I’ve got a broad range of experience in tutoring from being a maths mentor at college to tutoring during university and then setting up my own private tutoring service after graduating.

Having been tutored for over 10 years, I’ve seen firsthand the qualities of a good tutor and the qualities of a bad one. I want to take and build on the good qualities and remove the bad ones. My teaching philosophy consists of three points:
The teacher adapts to the student’s needs, not the opposite. This ensures the student gets the most out of sessions. I get to know the students and tailor teaching methods to maximise their learning.
Build positive working relationships with students to create an environment where they are motivated to learn and enjoy learning. I encourage students to ask as many questions as possible, even repeat questions, because if you don’t ask you don’t learn.
Plan lessons according to the student’s exam board’s curriculum and past exam papers so that students are fully prepared. I also believe it’s important to go above and beyond the curriculum where necessary to challenge students and spark interests in subjects.
