About Lisa
I am a UNSW Chemistry PhD graduate, originally from Indonesia but grew up in Sydney. My 5-year postgraduate research was on lithium batteries and during this time, I gained experience in writing papers, grants, and mentored undergraduate honors students in thesis writing and oral presentations with a >90% high distinction success rate. Besides tutoring IELTS/PTE, I hold 8 years’ experience teaching university-level Chemistry and essay writing, and 13 years’ experience teaching primary school (selective school test preparation) up to HSC level students in the following subjects: • Standard & Advanced English • General – Extension 2 Mathematics • Chemistry I use my combined experience from competitive research and teaching to help students across all levels communicate their ideas clearly and persuasively. Besides teaching, I also enjoy watercolor painting and Muay Thai.
