About Maria
I am academically driven and have spent a lot of time learning and figuring out the best ways to maximise efficiency and success when it comes to studying.
After getting nine 9s at GCSE, four A*s at A-Level, and passing admission interviews at the University of Oxford and Imperial College London, I have learnt which study methods work and which don't.
I enjoy tutoring because not only do I find it rewarding to improve students' understanding and confidence in a subject, I also want to help students unlock their potential and find a genuine sense of appreciation for their subjects.

I deliver subject and topic focused lessons where we start with the student's weakest topic or anything they are particularly struggling with.
We first go through the theory and basic understanding of the area, then moving towards exam and past paper questions in that field to apply their knowledge.
I share my screen so that we can go through past exam papers for practice and so that the student can also annotate and draw any diagrams needed for specific questions.
My lessons are usually 1 hour long and I have been tutoring GCSE students for 4 years and A-level students for 2 years.
