About Ivana
Ever since my first encounter with a game of chess at 8 years old, it has energized me. This passion is the reason I am stil active in the chess world. As an active player for 16year, I have participated in multiple national and international (FIDE) tournaments, I have gained a significat amount of experience in chess.
Struggling with ADHD as a child, playing chess has helped with sharpening my focus. This led to me developing a healthier self image and confidence. This improvement perception inspired me to start teaching chess since summer 2008th.

I vary my style of teaching on a case-by-case basis. We will kick off with an introductory game to establish the student's current level of ability, eventual goals, and a plan on how to reach that point. I am extremely passionate about the game it self but understand (from my own learning experience) it is not simple to develop as a skill, so at no point will I apply any more presure than I feel a student can, or wishes to, handle. I strongly appreciate feedback and if at any point a student feels I am applying too much (or too little) presure please let me know and we can adjust the approach.
