About Marcelo

I was a chess coach for a nice family. I was paid 8 dollars an hour to teach their 9-year-old daughter. I was also paid to teach their 11-year-old son for 6 dollars an hour. I taught both of them productive strategy and openings. The Queen's Gambit, as well as the King's Indian Defense (also known as the Pirc Defense), were the main openings I taught. I have immensely studied games of Hikaru Nakamura and Jose Martinez. I know the new explosive style of chess, as well as the old school defensive and tactical version of chess. I can assure you I will be worth every penny. To fully ensure this I offer a free video analysis of your most recent game! About the lesson

I am a chess coach with experience teaching young children in specific. Though all ages are more than accepted! I have more experience teaching beginners rated 100-999 Elo on chess.com. My peak rapid Elo rating on chess.com was 1400+, my peak bullet rating was 1600+ and my blitz rating was, at its peak 1300+ (all chess.com ratings). I have experience in debate (The practice space in El Cerrito) and public speaking. Meaning I will be able to converse and teach easily to small children or adults. I have confidence in my ability, so much so that I offer a free video analysis of your most recent game!
