About Younjoo
Currently the Chess Club President at Rhodes College and a chess coach for Mid-South Chess.
I began playing chess in 3rd grade, participated in district tournaments, then played for fun throughout middle school and high school. Then in college, I got the opportunity to chess coach elementary and middle school students. I can teach openings, tactics, and beginners.

My teaching approach utilizes both chess.com and the physical chess set. When I teach younger children via zoom, I draw on the screen which allows them to follow along and visualize the chess movements. Every session there is a review of chess knowledge to ensure the students soak up a lifetime worth of chess. I prefer giving positive, encouraging feedback rather than punishment.

Details
I normally charge $20 per session and each session is 30 minutes. Therefore, the rate I charge hourly can be split into 30 minute sessions. Often students have weekly or two times/week sessions.
A typical student will have a 30 minute session and my pay would be $20 for that session.
