About AGM Ioannis - Athanasios

Hi and nice to meet you! I am Sakis Asiatidis, a chess coach, from Greece. I speak English fluently (ECPE). I am chess player and coach, awarded with Arena Grand Master title by FIDE, 2021. I am FIDE rated. I took a lot of lessons from titled players myself, and I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my students. I am looking forward to seeing your progress! Do not hesitate and order your first lesson, now!

About the lesson

I offer personalised and high-quality chess lessons. I will start by examining thoroughly your games and considering your weaknesses and strengths. After that, I will create a personalised programme to help you improve. Every lesson is prepared with care and professionalism. Why should you choose me? • My students are not numbers: Your goals are my goals and I will do my best to help you reach them. • I have plenty of supporting material to improve in opening, middlegame and endgame. After every lesson, I will provide you the material examined (exercises, opening theory, annotated games etc.). The sessions are also recorded, so you can revise the lesson afterwards. • I'm not too strict about respecting the 60 minutes: If I think a concept has to be assimilated, I can take some extra time (for free) to make sure that you fully understood it. • Every lesson is personalised, according to each student's needs. • I'm sure about the quality of my lessons but you can try me by ordering your first lesson. When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?
When I was 4 or 5 years old, my dad taught me the moves. We used to play against each other for a while, but since he is basically a complete beginner, I started beating him by the age of 7 or 8. I took a lot of lessons from titled players myself, and I have 20 years of playing experience and 10 years of coaching.
Which artists or works affect you the most?
Botvinnik and Williams.
What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?
Patience, hard work, and everyday practice. And a good coach to guide you.
What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?
Stop playing bullet and focus on longer time controls and analyzing your games.
How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?
My passion is chess. Chess gets its appeal to the human psyche because of its logic, reasoning, aesthetic, adventurous and empowering elements. It is considered as a creative quest with endless opportunities, as an escape from the ills of life. The devotees of the game enjoy it like love and music. People from diversified backgrounds get passionately absorbed in the game. A philosopher ought to admire the game because of its various fascinating elements.
What achievements are you particularly proud of?
I am a chess player awarded the Arena Grand Master title by FIDE, 2021.

Many of my young students have a quick progression. That's because of my system. Many of them have tried many teachers without any significant results.

understanding by making them solve chess puzzles
based on their strength.
