About Yanyan
I am an accounting student studying at ANU. I am new to language tutoring but I have done mentoring before and I am very passionate in teaching Chinese. I have taught my Japanese friend how to speak Chinese and she can understand most easy conversations now and has excellent pronunciations.

My teaching method is relate back to real life, and to culture. Language is a tool, for communication, for connection. It is fun and interesting to learn. I try to teach the culture behind the words. My lessons are geared towards all students, whether you are a beginner, or you already speak Mandarin fluently, I guarantee you can take away a lot from my lessons.
I give out a pre-class reading-list and a list of vocabulary for you to prepare to save time in class. Then we have discussions about the reading list and use the vocabulary in class.
