Hi, I am YiNan Yang. I‘m from Shanghai and now I'm an official student at an American University. I have received twelve years of systematic study of Chinese in China. - My own teaching method is learning from interest! As I teach Chinese speaking, reading, and listening. We will focus on reading different kinds of Chinese novels and watching many intriguing Chinese movies. These could help us increase our vocabulary and improve our listening skills, at the same time, it won't be boring. In my lessons, we will also have a lot of scenario dialogue practice.
- My teaching plan is based on the focus of student learning.
For Chinese speaking:
Every class, we will learn spoken vocabulary and we will conduct scenario dialogue exercises.
For Chinese reading:
Every class, we will learn written vocabulary and do reading exercises (news, magazines, novels and so on)
For Chinese listening:
Every class, we will accumulate vocabulary, listen to Chinese songs, and watch Chinese movies and TV shows.
But no matter what the focus of students' learning is, we will have homework after each class and conduct phased tests.
Our lessons will be interspersed with some topics such as Chinese history, Chinese food, Chinese poetry.
- What sets me apart from as a tutor, I think, is that rather than teaching Chinese, we are more like discussing Chinese. Moreover, if students are interested, I can also introduce some Shanghai culture to them, because my hometown is Shanghai and I know Shanghai very well. I can also provide more specific teaching in Shanghainese.
-The lessons are for all Chinese lovers and people who want to learn Chinese. ( A very important point is that I will not specifically teach courses about Chinese grading or exams.)
