About Lucia

I am a friendly and passionate tutor with a deep love for neuroscience and research. My academic journey has always been driven by enthusiasm for learning - my BSc dissertation was awarded a prize, and the related work is currently under peer review for publication, which is something I am truly proud of.

I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I see myself very much as a curious learner too - just like you, my dear student who is discovering Italian. This shared mindset helps me create warm, engaging lessons where learning feels natural, enjoyable, and motivating rather than stressful.

I am currently based in the United Kingdom, where I am pursuing my professional path in healthcare while continuing to grow my passion for teaching and education.

My aim is to create a supportive space where anyone can feel comfortable, encouraged, and confident to make progress at their own pace, always with a smile.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is fully personalised and adapted to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals. I focus on making complex concepts simple and accessible, encouraging understanding rather than memorisation, and creating a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

Lessons typically last 45 minutes, allowing enough time to cover key concepts while maintaining focus and engagement throughout the session.

I have over 10 years of private tutoring experience, mainly in language teaching, with a strong background in supporting learners of different levels. I have also completed several professional courses, including Psychobiology and Neuroscience at the University of Essex, and a course on “Problematic Behaviours of Children with Communication Difficulties,” which has strengthened my understanding of learning processes and communication strategies.

My lessons are suitable for all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. I adapt my teaching method depending on the learner, whether they are children, students, or adults aiming to improve their Italian for personal, academic, or professional purposes.
