About Jesus
I received my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2015 and worked as a Geotechnical Engineer for about a year before entering to do my masters. I graduated with my Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2017. I got both degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso. While as a student doing my bachelors I worked at Wiggs Middle School in El Paso, and I also worked at El Paso High School doing math tutoring. Before, during, and after class as my schedule was flexible to accommodate my classes. Since graduating I have been working for an international engineering firm as a civil environmental engineer. Currently I'm on a stormwater project in El Paso where we had to design the channel for a watershed drainage that comes off the mountain. It is in construction and I am acting as the clients inspector so I am on site throughout the construction phase. I have been working with this company for 6 years now and I am also currently working on obtaining my professional engineering license. A lot of math goes into studying for that exam as well.

I have learned various teaching techniques while I was a middle and high school tutor. I have also learned to explain in better detail while helping nieces and nephews in elementary math.
We can go over current homework. We can go over other lessons that are difficult to understand and are unable to ask questions during class or after school with teacher.
What sets me apart as a tutor would be that I have real life knowledge of mathematics and algebra from my career. I also have 11 nieces and nephews that come to me when they are having difficulties with their math homework. I have also helped several peers that just do not understand math as I do, and have been successful in getting them to where they need to go in their classes.
I can help anyone that is doing any type of math from fractions to pre calculus. I have seen it all and would love to help others understand math and grow up to have a great passion for math in school as I did growing up and still do to this day.
