About Noor
Hi, I’m Noor! I’m currently studying a double degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture. I’m a friendly, patient and organized person and I genuinely enjoy helping others understand things that may initially seem difficult or overwhelming.
I know that not every student feels naturally confident in math, and I believe having someone who is approachable and willing to explain a concept in different ways can make a big difference. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about getting something wrong, while still encouraging them to challenge themselves and become more independent over time.
Outside of university, I enjoy being social, meeting new people and learning new things. Through my studies, work and group projects, I’ve developed strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, which I hope to bring into my tutoring.
Most importantly, I want students to leave lessons feeling more capable and confident than when they started.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured around understanding each student’s strengths and identifying the areas where they need more support. I use this to create a clear, personalised approach rather than teaching every student in the same way.
A typical lesson includes a short review, guided examples, independent practice and targeted questions to check understanding. I use techniques such as active recall, worked examples and gradually increasing question difficulty to build both understanding and problem-solving skills.
I aim to create a patient and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. As their understanding improves, I introduce more challenging questions to build confidence and encourage independent thinking.
Lessons can focus on foundational skills, difficult school topics, homework, assessment preparation, revision or extension work depending on the student’s needs.
I am currently studying a double degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture, where mathematics, problem-solving and analytical thinking are central to my studies. I offer tutoring for primary school through to Year 10 and adapt the pace and approach to each student.
