About Rochelle

I have a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Victoria and love math. Over the past 5 years, I've tutored multiple students who all showed significant improvement in their grades. I am very dedicated to the success of my students and will help them grasp concepts more easily.

About the lesson

Learning math should be simple and enjoyable! I find it is really important to get to know the learning style of my students to better tailor each lesson to suit their needs.

During my sessions, I first like to review concepts by providing a step-by-step method for each question type which students can apply when doing homework and exams.

Next, I like to have my students work through example problems with me so that we can pinpoint which steps are unclear and review that specific concept.

I am comfortable with face-to-face and online sessions. For online sessions, I have a tablet where I share my screen so we can work through concepts and problems together.

Perfect! Rochelle is working with my son through high school math. She is very calm, reassuring and patient with him. Encouraging him to work through the problems and providing instruction as needed. His confidence in completing math has increased. And most importantly he went from a failing grade to passing the course and moving on to the next level. Rochelle is also flexible in scheduling and quick and easy to communicate with. Her knowledge is exceptional and she makes the extra effort to find out before each lesson what they are learning in class so she is prepared to work with him. We would highly recommend Rochelle!
